Jewellery Care

As with most jewellery pieces, these pieces require some minimal care.

It is not recommended that you wear Darling Bijou jewellery in water. Over time, exposure to water could erode the fine materials used to make our jewellery.

Pearls ~ Do not expose pearls to chemicals found in shampoos, hairsprays, and other beauty or cleaning products. These chemicals will damage and erode the surface of your pearls. Wear your pearls often. The oils from your skin add lustre to pearls, and keeps them looking beautiful. Store them in a protective bag or box so they do not become damaged by abrasive contact with other jewellery.

Sterling Silver ~ Sterling silver does tarnish, however, human skin has been found to be a natural polisher for this precious metal. Feel free to wear your jewellery as often as you like. It will only look better as a result!
